Collaborative
Culture
Web 2.0 + Wikis + Art + Initiatives
Our social, business and cultural paradigms are shifting to include more
collaboration. This new platform provides new ways to share information,
work on projects and, personally, I am inspired by it everyday. Not all of
the medias that come from this collaborative network seem particularly useful
or functional, but
the idea of it is important and can be used to make our world better. Everyday
I am dreaming of ways that the technology behind this collaborative culture
could create
something that will help bring people together who have
a united mission

Yann Arthus-Bertran began experimenting
with aerial photography after becoming a hot air balloon pilot,
and his career as a nature photographer was born. Yann promotes

It's not really a collaborative project,
however, it could be argued that our culture collaborated with
Chris through the act of consumption. From his series "Intolerable
Beauty," Chris Jordan photographs the end result of mass
consumption. From cell phones to circuit boards, he brings to
light a startling portrait of our garbage. |

How is collaboration affecting our
world, hierarchical platforms in business, education and our
scientific advancements? From social networking platorms like
YouTube and MySpace to research platforms like Human Genome Project,
collaboration is changing the way we live and learn.
Through mass collaboration, we will increase speed of scientific
advancement, find cures for illness and strengthen community—even
with people on the other side of the planet. Or, at the very
least, it gives us all an opportunity to look at lots of cute
puppies. |
