Engagement, refinement, and thoughtful planning for each creative initiative are the foundation for Karen’s work with clients in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and nationally. She works with individuals, teams, community builders, and organization leaders who specialize in the arts, publishing, public outreach, and environmental and nature-based initiatives.
Karen offers individualized support and leadership for projects—from planning and project management to concept ideation and creative thinking. This approach to creative work is efficient and cohesive and has been one of the core aspects of her business practice for over a decade and a half.

Design for the Arts works with clients to provide consult, planning, and creative for initiatives, programs, and publications. Design for the Arts is an approved vendor + supplier for work with the State of Minnesota (SWIFT), Hennepin and Ramsey Counties (CERT), and Metropolitan Council (MCUB). Certifications include Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
